Overview

Kèr Māshiē̼àv was founded durring the late 14th century in spring of the year 1255, by Sé̄boīr Bēnḱ 'Skye Skye' Vú̄rmb Sē̄ Härm Foulkes. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Sé̄boīr Bēnḱ 'Skye Skye' Vú̄rmb Sē̄ Härm Foulkes.

Kèr Māshiē̼àv was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kèr Māshiē̼àv is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.

Kèr Māshiē̼àv is buildings are located arround a single narrow baked earthen mainstreet which forms a clockwise spiral to give the town a over all circular shape. The town is the proud owner of a thick set of fortified walls fashioned from querried stone blocks. While not up to snuff for a fort or castle wall, the town's walls are naturaly much larger than those of forts or castles. Therefore, the construction such a wall is most expencive. Kèr Māshiē̼àv's buget focused wall would serve its community well in battle in spite of looking unimpressive compared to castles and fortresses. Kèr Māshiē̼àv's top tier civilian fortifications has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.

Kèr Māshiē̼àv has a very calm atmosphere. People can be seen relaxing, scocilizing, and going about all manner of business other than the daily grind. Men, women, children, all can be seen enjoying life in a laid-back way in the many parks which line Kèr Māshiē̼àv’s streets. The town is very clearly a joyfull place as well as relaxing. Music can be heard often, as well as laughter. The smell of food and drink permiates the air. You can’t help but smile.

Cultural Notes

Kèr Māshiē̼àv has a long tradition of martial expertise. This may be a crisply-organized history of skilled native levies, or it may be a natural belligerence in the people that leaves them familiar with bloodshed. While their neighbors and liege doubtless respect their talents, this very aptitude might make them more willing to turn to steel than prudence would advise.

Kèr Māshiē̼àv's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is which made use of the classical orders and mathematically precise ratios of height and width combined with a desire for symmetry, proportion, and harmony. It used columns, pediments, arches and domes are imaginatively in buildings of all types. Decorative features were seen as largely unnecessary as the sheer beauty of the structure itself was often close to art. However, many buildings with large ceiling spaces had their ceilings decorated with elaborate paintings, simply because the large flat spaces could feel wasted.
